Dr. Marcia Martins

Dr. Marcia is one of the most sought after ophthalmologists in Dubai with over 19 years of experience. She earned her medical degree from Oswaldo Aranha Foundation University, Center of Volta Redonda in Brazil. Then she earned her degree in Ophthalmology and started her career after completing advanced training programs in several hospitals across Brazil and South America.

In order to broaden her experience in Ophthalmology, Dr Marcia participated in multiple training facilities in which she obtained several certifications in the prevention, diagnosis & treatment of ophthalmic-related disorders.

Dr Marcia has a special interest in Refractive Surgery (Relex-Smile, FemtoLasik, Femto-Lasik Xtra, Lasik, Lasik Xtra, PRK, PRK Xtra, CXL, ICR, PTK).

Throughout her career, Dr. Marcia worked in several leading hospitals and medical centers where she provided the highest standards of care and the most effective and clinically proven treatments to her patients.

Dr Marcia stays up-to-date with the latest treatments and regularly speaks at national and international seminars and conferences on the latest practices and techniques in ophthalmology. Dr Marcia has also contributed to many research studies and publications.

Through her professional journey, Dr. Marcia participated in several types of research about ophthalmology, the influence of age on refraction errors, PRK in special cases, and PRK with mitomycin C.

In addition, she presented multiple lectures on PRK, Lasik, Membranectomy following extracapsular facetectomy with intra-ocular lens implantation using Nd: Yag Laser, and Early post-operative complications in trabeculectomy with mitomycin C.
